2026 Journal Blank Trackers

How To: Use Blank Tracker Pages

So, you've got your The Journal Club pre made journal and you've been filling out your spreads regularly. Every month, the yearly and monthly pages get full to the brim, looking absolutely gorgeous. But what about the blank trackers at the start of your journal? It can seem quite daunting to be faced with blank pages, but don't worry! The Journal Club is here to help. We've got loads of fun, creative ideas for you to fill your blank trackers with.

Lifestyle Trackers

There are loads of different ways you can use your blank trackers. The first category we've come up with is a lifestyle one. These trackers focus on things connected to your day-to-day life. One example is the Shower Tracker. This may seem a bit silly, but what better way to remember when hair wash day is? You can customise this tracker by keeping note of different types of showers. From a rinse, to a hair wash, to an everything shower. There's no limits of what you can use the trackers for.

Another lifestyle tracker we absolutely love is the Coffee Tracker. As heavily caffeinated people ourselves, there's nothing better than a morning coffee to start the day. So, why not keep track of it? You can track what type of coffee you drink, where you drank it, or even what time you had it! This spread can be decorated with gorgeous deep brown coffee shades, so crack out your pens and get started.

The last lifestyle tracker we’ve suggested is a Period Tracker! Having just celebrated International Women’s Day, and looking ahead to Pride Month in June, we wanted to celebrate all the members of our community who menstruate. Tracking your cycle manually is a nice way to switch off from all the apps, and keep your data to yourself. Noting down what’s going on in your body is not just a good way of seeing patterns in your behaviour, but it’s also good to know what’s happening inside you. By paying closer attention, you can see if dips in mood align with your cycle, and adjust your workloads accordingly. Petra Zdarska has written a beautiful article on the official Bullet Journal website about how tracking her cycle has improved her life - why not give it a read?

Functional Trackers

The next set of trackers we’ve brainstormed are slightly more functional, letting you keep all your information in the same place. I don’t know about you, but I find it near impossible to keep track of all my friends’ and family’s birthdays! We’ve made a lovely Birthday Tracker to stay on top of this, letting you have all the information in one place. We love colour coding the birthday to each person, depending on what category of your life they fit into. At the start of each month, why not try transferring that month’s birthdays into your monthly spreads, to give you another reminder that you need to celebrate your loved ones.

While it may not seem like the most fun idea, a Screen Time tracker can help you stay on top of how much time you’re spending in the virtual world. Whether you choose to track overall screen time, or just time spent on social media, it can be a really useful tool to monitor your device usage. In a world where everything is so interconnected, it’s important to take time away from screens. We love this example from XXX, as it shows that you don’t need to be ashamed of how much screen time you have - once you know what you’re dealing with, you can use it as a starting point to change.

Fun Trackers

And last but not least, we’ve got a cheery category to end with! These logs and trackers are full of fun ideas that you can use as you see fit. We’ve got a Pages Read tracker for all you bibliophiles, a Crying Log for those of you who tear up at every sad animal in a film, and a Wordle Tracker for anyone who’s still obsessed with New York Times minigames. Why not try all of them, and see what fits best for you? You can use our Printables as a starting point if you're really stuck on what to do.

So, there you have our ideas for how to use your blank trackers. While we’ve given loads of options, these are just suggestions. There are so many more things you can do with your blank trackers! We’d love to see what you get up with. Please tag any photos of your blank trackers with @thejournalclub on Instagram! Happy Journaling!
